Acne, for many, leads to de-moralizing oneself and low levels of self esteem and at times even depression in people across the world. Though the reasons as to why acne pops up are many, such as- hormonal imbalances, highly stressed out, improper eating patterns, and genetic effect; regulated and balanced diet is essential for all to have healthy skin that is blemish and scar free.

The first of these two Vitamins For Acne is Vitamin C, a powerhouse of an anti-oxidant that helps the function and repair of tissue growth as well as boosting immune system and protection against infection. Vitamin E plays a part by preventing excess fat accumulation in the body and protecting against cell damage and the formation of free radicals.

Vitamin A strengthens the protective tissue of the skin and prevents acne. It helps reduce sebum production. It is essential for the maintenance and repair of the tissue which the skin and mucous membranes are made of. It is also a powerful antioxidant needed to rid your body of toxins

This vitamin is probably the most important in the treatment of acne. Vitamin A reduces the production of oil from the sebaceous glands and is essential for the production and repair of skin tissue and mucous membranes. It is also a very powerful antioxidant and can be found in many skin preparation products for a variety of uses including anti-wrinkle creams, anti-aging creams and preparations for the treatment of rosacea.

The drawback to using vitamin A as a supplement is that a dose that is big enough to stop acne is big enough to cause side effects. Problems from using even up to 300,000 IU of vitamin A per day are rare, but they are significant. The first signs of vitamin A overdose are dry skin and chapped lips, especially in dry weather. Later signs of toxicity are headache, mood swings, and pain in muscles and joints. In massive doses, vitamin A can cause liver damage.

Vitamin A, and the B vitamins, all have important roles in the health of the skin. Vitamin A strengthens the skin, and a deficiency can lead to acne. However, it is important to note that an excess of this vitamin can also create pimples. Too much vitamin A can be dangerous, especially for pregnant women, who should not take more than 10,000 IU a day. Others can take up to 25,000 IU daily, and this is indeed recommended for treating acne.

Vitamin B: Vitamin B is another category of vitamins essential for fighting your acne problems. The intake of vitamin B helps to reduce stress. If you want to know; one of the factors that contribute to acne is stress. If you take a meal rich in Vitamin B; you are helping to fight stress which in turn causes acne.
