Weight Loss Diets and Plans That Simply Will not Work

Finding the perfect weight loss diet and plan is difficult because everyone responds to diets differently. If there was one diet that worked for everyone, there would be no need to have hundreds of diets and plans to choose from. However, there are some weight loss plans that simply will not work.

There are a number of people that have the impression that low fat diets are effective in losing weight. Truth of the matter is you cannot lose weight effectively with a low fat diet. This is not to say that you will not drop a few pounds. But if you are looking to truly lose weight, stay away from low fat diets.

Another popular weight loss diet is a low calorie diet. Going on a low calorie diet is not the answer to what you are looking for. What you will find is that eating low calories is one of the worst things you can do to your body. The reason for this is because you will only slow down your body’s fat burning engine and ruin any chance you had of losing weight.

Much like the low fat diet, you may drop a few pounds in the first week with the low calorie diet. After that, you will come to a complete halt and have extreme difficulty shedding off any more pounds from there. This is known as coming to a dieting plateau.

Lastly, a low carb diet will give you little results as well. Low carb diets have hit the mainstream and have become extremely popular over the last couple of years. What makes this weight loss diet different from the first two mentioned is that there is hope for losing weight. The problem lies within your dedication to the diet.

Low carb diets tend to be extremely difficult to stick with because of the menus given. Most people stick with it for a month or so and then give up because it is too hard to follow. If you can break through and stay with the diet, there is potential for success. What makes it so difficult is that low carb diets drain your energy, making it difficult to stay with the program for very long.

It is sad to say, but sometimes trial and error is your best option for finding a quality weight loss diet and plan. But if you are looking to stay with a diet and have success, it is recommended that you stay away from low carb diets, low calorie diets, and low fat diets.
