Doctors perform more and more plastic surgery procedures every year. Many different types of surgeries exist to correct a wide range of problems from a disfigured noses, fat loss and imperfect breasts. Many types of surgeries exist for people to benefit from having them done. One such plastic surgery that is becoming very popular is Sclerotherapy . This article will examine Sclerotherapy and everything that is associated with this plastic surgery procedure.

We will start by examining what exactly is Sclerotherapy. It is a plastic surgery procedure that is used to treat blood vessels and veins. The blood vessels are affected by the use of the medicine that is often injected into the blood vessels. This makes them shrink and this helps to reduce the look of varicose veins and also hemorrhoids.

There is another procedure called foam sclerotherapy. This works with the doctor injecting a foamed sclerosant drugs into the blood vessel. This is done by using a syringe. The foam contains the drugs polidocanol or Sodium Tetradecyl Sulfate. The syringe that is used gets air and co2 fed into it. The effectiveness of this procedure is very good as it is able to cover and work in a much wider area.

The sclerotherapy procedure does have complications associated with it. Risks are bound to be a given with this procedure as it is a type of plastic surgery. Because it is an invasive procedure, there is the possibility that blood clots could occur and form in the veins. Inflammation and scarring can occur. Some people who have the procedure done have also experienced allergic reactions to the sclerosing solution. This reaction might be a result of some of the ingredients that is contained in the solution.

The increase of pigmentation irregularity is just one of the possible side effects of Sclerotherapy The skin can be affected by pigmentation irregularity which is the increase of brown splotches across the skin. These spots can stay on the skin for a very long time, at times ranging from a couple of months to years.

The risks associated wit this procedure can be reduced if you use a doctor who has been trained properly to do sclerotherapy. They should know about the different sclerosing agents and the proper methods to do this procedure.

The demand for plastic surgery has increased over the years and there seems to be no end in site in the distant future. For individuals it is a chance for them to correct something that they feel is not right with their body. Spider veins is one of the imperfections that women experience and choose to have reduced by way of surgery. The removal of spider veins can be done by a plastic surgery procedure call Sclerotherapy. The procedure has the ability to decrease the look of the veins as it relates to a woman?s body. The treatment from Sclerotherapy has some side effects associated with its use and these often occur after treatment.
