Many people are making the switch to organic and natural skincare products; worried about the potential dangers of the unknowable chemical compositions that sully the list of ingredients printed on skincare and cosmetics products around the world.
But is skincare confined to the cosmetic products and cosmetics that we buy, or does the act of caring for our skin extend beyond the items on our dresser or above our sink.
Indeed, it is a known fact that an almost indefinite array of our daily lifestyle choices influence our skin, and how we care for this , the largest organ in the body, is something that really should extend beyond purchasing organic and natural cosmetics and skin care products, and into the day to day actions that we make without even thinking about the effect that they are having on our skin.
If your stress levels are continuingly through the roof then this will be placing an undue issue on your skin. If you think your skin might be showing signs of stress the most important thing is to not let this fact stress you out, as this will only make matters worse. Instead, deal with the matter that is stressing you out, whether the thing that works for you is a nice massage, a treat of some sort or the implementation of a strict exercise regime.
This, alongside the favouring of natural and organic skincare products might just make the difference.
Another area that we should all look at before placing all faith in natural and organic skincare products is our diet, and especially in our consuming of nice healthy vitamins which are absolutely vital for the continued maintenance and well being of our bodies.
A vitamin is a compound found in natural foodstuffs, fresh fruit and vegetables - but not so much in tinned and processed foods that are increasingly finding their place in our shopping baskets. People who wish to support their natural or organic skincare routine with vitamins have two routes - either dietary changes or through pills or other supplements.
Two vitamins that are gaining notice as being most important for promoting healthy skin, and repairing damaged skin, are Vitamin K and niacin (sometimes known as vitamin B-3). Vitamin K is a vitamin that contributes to the clotting of the blood, and it has been shown to be extremely successful in dealing with black eyes and dark circles under the eyes.
Vitamins C, E and A are all well known for their benefits to the skin, and people looking into altering their skincare routine through organic and natural skincare products should not avoid thinking about other aspects of their lifestyle and how this will affect their skin. Vitamin A can be found in many foodstuffs, and leafy greens, apricots, broccoli, lettuce and other fresh vegetables. However, vitamin A cannot be excreted by the body like other vitamins can, so be wary about taking on synthetic vitamin A in a way that you can with Vitamin C and so on. However, through diet, a natural and organic skincare routine can be supplemented by nature.
