You should know that it is good for your health to eat more fresh fruits and veggies. Your parents and teachers will tell you it is important for you to eat more veggies when you are still a little kid. However, there are also some issues we need to consider when we are eating them.
There is no doubt that we need to have fresh fruits and veggies in our diet. As a matter of fat, we cannot really live without them. You may just try to avoid any fruits and veggies for two weeks and you may just feel that you will die very soon.
I assume that you really know the importance of having fresh fruits and vegetables. However, one problem here is that most people will over cook vegetables. This is especially true if you are a Chinese. This is because traditionally Chinese will not eat the vegetables if they are not cooked. As a result, you should never over cook vegetables. This may be better when fruits are concerned. This is because not many people will cook fresh fruits!
As you may probably know, we need to have five to ten servings of vegetables every day. However, do you really know how much one serving is? Probably the answer to this question is a NO. As a matter of fact, usually a medium sized fruit is considered one serving. Of course this also applies to vegetables. Now you should know how much you need to eat in order to have five to 10 servings a day.
You may find that you will tend to have less fruits or veggies when you are eating out. This is especially true for your lunch. As a result, you may consider prepare your lunch yourself the night before. You will need to prepare a lot of vegetables for your lunch. This will certainly make your lunch a lot healthier. Of course this will also help you to save money. I think everyone will understand that preparing your own lunch box will not be something expensive, compared to the money you need to spend when you are eating out for your lunch.
When you are taking a break, you may want to have some snacks. You should try to avoid things such as chips and fries. Instead you should try to have some fresh fruits and vegetables. Having more healthy snacks will certainly be good to your health in the long run.
