I find this to be completely ridiculous.I think Bonds is the best hitter of all time. He holds a huge amount of records including most home runs in a season and in a career. It's absolutely ridiculous that Bonds isn't at least given a chance to show he can still be a great hitter.Yes he's 44. In 2007, at age 42, Bonds was among the best hitters in baseball. In fact he lead the entire major leagues in OBP.There's no way that Bonds is being denied a chance to play simply because of his age. I have no doubt that Bonds could still be one of the best hitters in baseball even at age 44.It's obvious that Bonds has been "black balled" the big league baseball in their attempt to make him into the scape goat for the entire steroids era. This is ludicrous. While I will not deny that Bonds did use performance enhancing drugs (I think that's quite obvious) I do think it's insane that he is being singled out as if he were the only one when it's clear he was one of hundreds. In fact it's become quite clear that most current major league players have used PEDs.Why is it that Bonds is singled out like he were the only player to ever do PEDs when he was just one of hundreds? That doesn't make any sense. Is Alex Rodriguez going to be allowed to play this year? Yes. How is A-Rod any less "guilty" than Barry Bonds? It is a fact that A-Rod tested positive for steroids, but Bonds has not.Why would it make any sense for Alex Rodriguez or any of the other players who have had positive steroid tests (and there are hundreds!) should be allowed to play while the greatest hitter of his generation is not allowed to play.I simply cannot take Major League Baseball seriously until they let Barry Bonds back into the league. Players should be judged on their ability to play. That's it. By sidelining a truly great player because of political reasons, the sport ceases to be a sport and becomes something much less.I will instantly become a fan of any team that signs Barry Bonds. I will buy their shirts. I will watch their games. I will buy an MLB league pass. Amen to all of that. I think one of the key reasons why he was black balled is that there are another load of records & milestones that he would surely break if he came back just for 1 season: he needs just 65 hits to reach 3,000, 4 runs batted in to reach 2,000, and 38 home runs to reach 800. He needs 69 more runs scored to move past Rickey Henderson as the all-time runs champion, and 37 extra base hits to move past Hank Aaron as the all-time extra base hits champion. I think that MLB is already annoyed that he has the big Home run records and would not like him to take any more. It doesn't look good if even his agent is saying that he doesn't think he will play this year. What a disgrace this all is.
