The 50,000 Mile Commuter Challenge pits companies and organizations in a friendly competition to log the most miles commuting to work by bike. Matching like-sized businesses against one another, companies with the highest percentage of employees commuting at least once between May 12-18 can earn prizes—including a grand prize of a new Road Warrior 500—and bragging rights. Todson, the top cycling accessories brand in the world, will be providing some of those prizes.

“We sponsor and participate in a number of charity rides and other causes but the 50,000 Mile Commuter Challenge has the most potential to benefit the environment. It reminds the occasional cyclist that getting out of their car can make a big difference both in terms of air quality, traffic and their own health. So, we’re more than happy to contribute some of the products and accessories we distribute to those who embrace this challenge,” said Neal Todrys, president of Todson, Inc. and importer of Topeak and OnGuard Locks.

Known for their “industry firsts” which includes the innovative Alien & McGuyver Tool lines, in addition to bike computers, gear boxes, pumps, seats, lights and a plethora of “can’t live without” gadgets, Topeak continues to deliver unique products that guarantee a good ride. In addition, via Todson, OnGuard locks offer sturdy security for bikes, power sports, and everyday use.

All corporate registrants for the 50,000 Mile Commuter Challenge are entered into a drawing for the Road Warrior 500 and are invited to attend the annual Bike Bash as part of the Bay State Bike Week (time and location TBA).

Bay State Bike Week is byproduct of May being National Bike Month. In addition to the Challenge, other Bay State Bike Week events include: Safe Rider Convoys; No Bike? No problem!; Breakfast Pit Stops; Goodie Zones; and more. Visit www.baystatebikeweek.org for more information.
