If you're in need of a well built sturdy boat to take on the dangerous white water rivers of the northwest, a drift boat could be the answer. The odds of sighting a drift boat outside of the northwest Rockies' are slim. Withthe unique shape, design and maneuvering abilities this boat was built for extreme situations on those thrilling adventures through those powerful, deadly rivers.
A well constructed drift boat will usually be constructed of high quality wood. These boats are built solid and designed to hold up to the abuse these northern rivers may throw at it. Compared to an inflatable raft, a drift boat offers peace of mind without the worry of leaks.
A drift boat makes for a great cruise arounder boat. You have to paddle this type of boat which makes it unique and perhaps in the right atmosphere could make for a spelndid romantic afternoon out on the water. If you don't care to fish but lovr adventure this is perfect to run down a raging river as most drift boats are rated to withstand class III whitewater.
If you live up in the northwest you really should be passing up the amazing rivers available to you. I go out on weekend fishing trips in my drift boat al the time. The best part about my beautiful drift boat is that I built her myself and saved an so much money compared to buying one. Believe it or not you can't just buy a driftboat at just any boat retailer.
You will need to get in contact with the manufacturer If your looking to buy a drift boat. If you do end up deciding to take the Manufacturer route, don't be surprised with the bill. The normal pricetag for a drift boat of high quality is going cost you in the range of $2000, and you'll have to buy the trailer seperate.
Designing and building your own boat can truly be one of the most rewarding experiences in life. It will save you hundreds of dollars and the overall feeling of gratification cannot compare to anything money can buy.
