Beer Pong is a game commonly played in college areas. The table is the biggest and most important part of the game. There are no official rules for beer pong and the ones that are used alter significantly from coast to coast, state to state and college to university. Things you'll need :
*Table
*Plywood
*three 2-by-4 inch boards
*Paint or whatever you want to use to decorate or customize the table
*Waterproof sealer
Follow these straightforward steps to build your custom beer pong table.
1.Take a well ventilated area such as a warehouse and clear it. Find a table to use as a base. This can either be a table that you are already using, such as a kitchen table, or you can purchase a cheap folding table for just this purpose.
2. Cut the plywood to the right measurements for the beer pong table. Technically, there are no official rules for the game of beer pong so the measurements of the table can change greatly from area to area. The typical size is 8 by four feet.
3. Adjust the peak of the table. Cut at least three pieces of 2-by-4 or 4-by-4 to the same width of your table. Lay the boards equally across the table. You can stack and nail many pieces of 2-by-4 in order to get the proper height that is required by the rules of your area. Again, the guidelines change greatly so the height may be anywhere from 27.5 to forty five inches.
4. Draw boundaries on the plywood top. There are often three lines that are required by most rules : The mid line that divides the table in half, and the foul lines that are a foot from the edge of each side of the table.
5. Decorate the plywood. You can use paint, bottle caps or anything else you want to customize the surface of your table. This is your chance to customize your table.
6. Water-proof the plywood. It is best to cover the surface of the table in a water-resistant sealer in order to protect the wood from water damage. This will protect the wood and make sure that your table lasts better.
7. Set up the table you are using as a base, place the set of three 2-by-4 boards uniformly across the table and place the plywood on top. This sets up the beer pong table for playing.
