5 Tips to Make a Pleasant Trip to Hawaii

Do you know that Hawaii is one of the cheapest places to visit? As a matter of fact, some travel agencies offer an $80 a day travel for those who are willing to plan their vacation ahead of time. Even if you’re not so concerned about money, you should still make preparations in advance, after all, you wouldn’t want to spend your precious time determining what to do and where to go, would you? In this article, you will find some advice which can help make your Hawaiian trip as pleasant as possible.

1. There’s really no bad time to go to Hawaii since you will always find a nice warm weather, even during winter months. Rain isn’t really a big problem as rain showers are usually short lived in this area and you will also get a rainbow treat afterwards, but some people like to consider the crowd and costs when choosing the best time to there. For those who want the least crowds and lowest cost of meals and vacation homes, the optimal time is between May to September. The end of April to October is also quite but you will have to battle with more people for a space at the beach. Most couples like to go to Hawaii in the beginning of June before the kids get out of school in the US.

2. Wondering if you should rent a car in Hawaii? It actually depends on where you are staying. In Waikiki/Honolulu, you won’t really need a rental car, especially because traffic and finding a parking space can be challenging. If you are staying outside of Waikiki, it is wise that you get a rental car since it will be a great help for sightseeing, and could even save you money. Oahu has the best transportation system in Hawaii so if you don’t mind transferring buses, then you can use TheBus. If you are staying in Kauai, Maui, and the Big Island, it is best to get a rental car because getting from one place to another can be tricky. In Lanai, you can travel using the shuttle for a flat fee of $35 for unlimited rides so renting a car is not necessary, but you might want to rent a Jeep to see the best sights which can only be accessed by a 4-wheel drive.

3. Hawaii is the best place to relax and a trip to the spa is a must. You can also go on helicopter rides and enjoy the beauty of the ocean from above. It is best to read reviews so you can get the most from your high ticket activities.

4. If you are celebrating a special event like a honeymoon or anniversary, you would also want to read reviews to get help in finding the best restaurants in Hawaii. You can find places where you have a great view of the sunset and a delicious meal if only you do your homework in advance.

5. When you are out sightseeing or even snorkeling, make sure to protect your valuables. If you have a rental car, make sure that the doors and windows are locked. It will also help to keep your valuables out of sight so as not to attack attention. When you are planning to go in the water, carry a waterproof case where you can put your valuables. Walmart and Target has a couple of cheap waterproof cases you can purchase before you leave for your vacation.

You can also try learning how to be a polite visitor to Hawaii, after all, you are going there to relax and enjoy, and what better to do just that but to be in good terms with people who will be your hosts for the next couple of days or so.
