Christmas Invitations and Christmas Party Invitations for Christmas Celebrations
Having a fabulous Christmas party and inviting all of your family to share the holidays with you can be a lot of fun but planning such a great party might be a pretty difficult task. Before you start mailing the personalized Christmas Invitations Cards or printed Christmas Party Invitations, you may want to start thinking about some specific elements of your holiday get together.
When to Hold the Event
If you're sending out Christmas Holiday Invitations, you might assume the event should take place on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. However, that's probably not the best idea. Remember those days should be reserved for the individual families to spend time with their kids and for opening presents and for relaxing after all of that crazy shopping.
Instead, choose a nice weekend a week or two before the holidays. If you want to start a tradition, it's a good idea to pick a day that could be repeated every years so people will just begin to expect the Christmas invites to arrive and will already have planned on attending. For now, however, you'll want to send out those Holiday Christmas Invitations about three weeks before the event in order to give people enough time to rearrange their schedules. A good rule of thumb is to have the Holiday Invitations ready to hit the mailbox on the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Where to Hold the Event
Choosing a location depends on several important factors: (a) How many people are going to be attending; (b) What type of food are you going to be serving and (c) How much stress are you willing to put up with.
Ideally, the Christmas Party Invitations will list your home as the location for the celebration. Of course, that may not always be possible. If you simply don't have the capacity to hold the entire guest list and you don't want to shorten that list, then you might want to find another venue to put on your Xmas Cards. That's also a good idea if you don't want to get stuck with all of the cooking or if you're trying to keep the event as stress-free as possible for yourself.
Other excellent venues include party rooms at restaurants, party halls at hotels and other event centers, public parks (if you live in places where the weather is nice all year long), or even local sporting areas. Some churches, banquet halls and apartment complexes may also have areas available for rent that would work well. If you do have to foot the bill for renting a place and for catering a meal, you might want to charge a small fee per person. If you do, make sure to list this on the printed Christmas Invitations along with an explanation of why you've chosen to do this. Keep in mind you probably won't end up with as many guests if you do.
