Air to Air Source Heat Pumps

Recent innovations in the heating and air conditioning market had enabled very efficient units to be installed in domestic and commercial premises that are able to provide both air cooling and air heating. The efficiency of these units is as much as 500%, hence they can represent considerable savings.

They consist of two parts, an external unit and an internal unit. The external unit is linked via pipe-work which is insulated through to the internal unit and contains a refrigerant, hence has to be ‘charged up’ by a competent refrigeration engineer.

The units are actually quite competitively priced around £1,400 for the parts and typical installations cost around £3,500 inclusive of parts, labour and VAT.

The units are capable of covering a floor space of around 100 square metres and can represent a very cost justified way of providing both heating and air conditioning to areas such as conservatories which may be far too cold to use in winter and far too hot to cope with in the summer.

The internal units have very quiet; running fans and directional plates that can move the air in either one fixed position or in multiple directions.

The units don’t require much power either – they can run off a single plug socket or fused spur as they require less that 3KW electrical input but can generate the equivalent of 12KW or more in output due to their efficiency.

The internal units are best mounted above a doorway to allow the heat 'curtain' to blow over the cold area created by the opening the doorway.

Professional carpet cleaning services keeps your carpets neat and clean

Routine vacuuming greatly helps to keep your carpet clean by eliminating the dirt and dust from the upper layer. However, routine vacuuming does not eliminate germs, allergens, grime and other contaminants that are trapped deep in the lower layers of the carpet. Over time, these pollutants keep accumulating and they can make your family sick. This is why it is important to have your carpets cleaned at least two times a year.

By: Joe Plumber | 10/08/2009 | Home Improvement
There are many manufacturers of under-floor heating, some powered using electricity and some with water. Electric under-floor heating mats are typically found in situations where the cost of installing a small area with wet systems would be prohibitively expensive. This is usually a consideration when having a new bathroom installed for example where people want to have nice warm tiles instead of cold ones first thing in the morning.
