The only thing worse than having the in laws come to stay for the weekend is knowing that you have to give up your bed to allow them to do so. However, if you want to avoid this common problem, one solution you have is to invest in trundle beds. These beds allow you to pull out a comfortable bed from under another. You do not have to have several beds in the same room. You do not have to give up precious space in the bedroom. Rather, you just need to purchase and use trundle beds instead.
Questions About Trundle Beds Answered
When it comes to investing in trundle beds, many people think that this is only an option for children's bedroom furniture. This is a common misconception and one that you definitely want to learn about. Although some kids beds do have the feature of a trundle, there are adult versions as well, many of which are comfortable and easy to use. However, if you are likely to have numerous children in the home, do invest in kids trundle beds as well. They are a great feature for any child's bedroom!
Another concern many people have is that trundle beds are not comfortable. As mentioned, they can be. The biggest reason they would not be comfortable is if you purchase a poor quality mattress for them. Mattresses for trundle beds should provide support and comfort. You can find numerous manufacturers that provide high quality trundle designed mattresses that are just as comfortable and as supportive as those mattresses on a traditional bed.
Many people avoid trundle beds because they do not think they can take full advantage of them. After all, how often do the in laws come to stay? Keep in mind that these beds can last a long time. Moreover, you do not have to sacrifice space in the bedroom for these beds since the trundle will easily slide right under the other bed, out of sight and out of mind. They do cost slightly more than a traditional bed, however, only a small bit more. If you were to buy two beds for the space, you would spend a considerable amount more.
One concern some might have is the worry that their mother in law will not like sleeping on the ground. That is one of the benefits of trundle beds. You do not need to sleep on the ground. In fact, trundles pull you off the ground! A frame slides in and out from under the bed. With the trundle, the mattress is not on the actual ground but is several inches off.
As you can see, there are many reasons why you should invest in a trundle bed. If the in-laws are coming, and you do not want to give up your bed, purchase a trundle bed. On the other hand, you might want to purchase a top quality product, especially if you are likely to have to give up your bed to your in laws. You will appreciate a good quality trundle bed then!
