The husband and the wife are failures if they could not establish good relations with each other. Such people would never be successful in life. They may achieve positions in some fields, but when they shall examine themselves, they shall have to declare and admit that they had been failure in life. When marriage had become compulsory in life, then it has also been accepted that good relations between husband and wife are also necessary.
There are love marriages and we also know that in some countries love marriages are not recognized. But it is not sure that only love marriage are successful and all the arranged marriages are failures. More and more people are divorcing each other when there are love marriages and we have noted that when the people in India had been having arranged marriages, there was no concept of divorce. But now people in India talk to each other before marriage and they marry only after obtaining consent of each other. And with this development, they are also having troubles in the houses and we are reading in news papers that the brides are compelled to bring more and more dowry and there are cases where the bridegrooms divorce their wives. There are reports where the brides are burnt alive or they are compelled to commit suicide. These are latest developments here in India and when we go deep and study the cause of all these troubles, we come to the conclusion that all these things are happening only in those families where the couples had been meeting each other and marriages had been completed after the consent of both the parties.
But one thing is very clear that if both the life partners are not happy, this would ruin their own life and also life of each member in the family. The children shall suffer much and they shall not be mentally fit persons. They shall be suffering so many psychological problems and they shall not be able to complete their education, training and they shall also not be able to adjust at work and with their colleagues. If there is love and affection between the two partners, they shall give birth to healthy children and they shall be providing them with good traditions. Even the parents of such couples shall suffer. They shall be having no faith in each other and they shall not be able to discuss heir family problems and then solve those problems. They shall not be able to develop good relations with the parents and the wife shall be having so many disputes with the parents of the husband and the husband shall not be looking after the parents of the wife when they are in need of help. Such families would not be able to run the family budgets and often they shall be under debt. The husband would not be able to demand from his wife the food which he likes and he shall have to eat whatever is served to him and that is the reason, such husbands shall be avoiding having their meals at home. We know that the people who do not take food at home prepared in their own kitchen are ill and such people die earlier that the prescribed age.
Therefore, we should examine all the aspects before marriage, but once we marry, we should adjust with each other in such a manner that we are one from the core of our hearts. This is most necessary because mere adjustment would not work.
