We are part of a violent society whether we like it or not and sometimes the safety of an individual is threatened by the actions of others. We are talking about the people that get assaulted. In almost all the cases the aggressors outnumber the victims or take them by surprise. And since taking the life of someone else is not an option for a normal individual, there is still an alternative to firearms when you need to protect yourself against assailants: self-defense weapons.
There is a wide range of self-defense weapons that can save your life without endangering the life of your attacker. We will make a short review of the best options you have when choosing a self-defense weapons.
A great type of self-defense weapons is represented by stun guns. With an affordable price, stun guns come in handy when the aggressors are already too close to beat a hasty retreat. Disguised as soda cans, mobile phones, credit cards, cigars and other objects you usually carry around, stun guns will stun your aggressor with over 800, 000 Volt shocks. You will have enough time to leave the area or even call the police while your attacker is paralyzed by muscle spasms.
Tasers fall under the same category as stun guns. The size of a taser is that of a usual handgun and the damage inflicted is more powerful than that of stun guns. Tasers can immobilize the attacker from over 10 feet away. Tasers shoot two small probes that remain connected to the battery inside the gun through two high-voltage insulated wires. When the probes touch the attacker’s body, the 50, 000 Volt shock passes through almost 2 inches of clothes and blocks the central nervous system taking him/her down.
The most common self-defense weapon remains the pepper spray. It’s cheap, small and inflicts a great level of pain that will take the mind of your attacker or attackers off of you. It can be purchased in the classic tube form, as well as camouflaged in usual objects that you carry around on a daily basis.
Even if they are used mostly for fun, airsoft guns are a great option for practice as well, not only due to the projectile shot with “air power”, but also mostly due to their aspect. The shape and type of the airsoft guns are identical to their firepower replicas. The military and law enforcement officers frequently use airsoft guns for training purposes. These are typically high-powered guns, used either by professional Airsoft players or by the military, as mentioned above. There is a low-powered and less expensive alternative to airsoft guns, mostly used by amateur players.
The most important thing is that you don’t have to be a victim anymore. Your safety and even your family’s safety are far more important than anything in the world. And since we are not entitled to take anyone’s life, self-defense guns are the best things to buy when it comes to avoiding trouble without being a victim.
