We will take a look at corner sofas specifically to see what new styles and designs are available. We can compare designs within the same store to get an idea what that one store is selling. We will take at only a few but will try to get a variety of different corner sofas.
Looking at their price range, they can start between $800 to $1400. The first corner sofa is the Ektorp. This is a two-piece corner sofa which has a very nice modern feel. You can choose between several colors for the slipcover from beige to pink to black. It would go very nice in any home. This corner sofa goes for $899. To add a sofa bed within the Ektorp, the cost would go up to $1299.
Compared to the Ektorp, the model Karlstad is another fine corner sofa. It is a bit cheaper at $800, and it does not have the fluffier cushioning of the Ektorp. Its cushions are a bit flatter with a bit more of a serious look, but it is still inviting to sit down on. The cushions are filled with foam where the Ektorp cushions were filled with waterfowl feathers. The covers to this corner sofa has a greater range in colors to choose from. The designer of this couch is Ted Bjorklund.
The next corner sofa to look at is the Kramfors. This sofa has more of a business-type feel to it. It looks like something you would perhaps see at work or in a lobby. If it did suit someone's home needs, then it could be purchased for home use. It is a 2+2 sofa and can be arranged is several ways. This corner sofa sells for $1699. There are four colors to choose from, a black/white pattern, red, turquoise, and blue/gray.
The Kramfors corner section is available at $392 if wanted to purchase by itself. It has character to it as a stand alone piece. As noted above it does have a slightly more formal look to it compared to the other Ikea sofas.
The next design offered at Ikea is the Tylosand corner sofa. It comes in two different versions. The first one is slightly more expensive at $1448. It includes an extra one or two seat section making it a bit lower than the smaller corner sofa priced $1148. It has a modern look with bulky cushioning but flat in design. The colors available are orange and sand. Throw pillows are available to purchase as well.
These are the selections currently available at Ikea, and Ikea is known for very nice pieces at reasonable prices. Each of these corner sofas has a more modern, updated look with different variations to suit different preferences.
Corner sofas provide nice seating for a large family or for someone who has plenty of gatherings. They help in providing a more spacious living area by utilizing the corners of a room to provide seating. There are many furniture stores to browse, and this was a review of corner sofas at Ikea.
