Where Has our Summer Gone?

Where has our summer gone?

We are all aware of the terrible weather we have all been subjected to, where has our summer gone? Some sunny spells is all that was to offer, no hot barbeque weather for more than an hour and certainly no bikini weather! Flip flops and sandals should have been worn throughout our summer months but more often than not, socks and closed toe shoes have been worn to protect our feet from the harsh, cold climate. Woolly jumpers and coats have also made an appearance in August…. of all months! As has the infamous Ugg boots, these are now being worn through out the year and not just in the chilly months to With the Summer season coming to an end, I think we will all be preparing for a cold autumn/winter and be hitting the high street stores for all those warm essentials, don’t forget your cosy slippers to keep feet warm and toasty, you never know when you will need them, Now it is September, the weather looks like is going to be leaving us in doors with the fire on! So get the hot chocolate ready and curl up watching a good movie to escape the weather outside, along with the fluffy duvets, dressing gowns, a face mask and a glass of wine to get your mood lifted and you feeling your best at this time of year.

This year has seen the worst floods with many roads grinding to a standstill due to the extreme weather conditions. Rivers bursting their banks, homes being under water and unfortunately people loosing their lives as a result. It would seem the UK’s weather is getting worse over the years and precautions will have to be made to prevent such incidents occurring again.
For those communities that have been carrying on as normal exchanging the fashionable footwear for Wellington boots, and I must say, high street retailers have been imaginative in designing such patterns and prints for the ever popular and handy Wellington boot, with incorporating this pattern and print frenzy into designing some of the most funkiest raincoats I have ever seen! From polka dots to flowers and animals, these cant get any better.
All the bad weather is disheartening UK’s citizens and we are taking holidays to catch the needy sunshine. Although there was a spell of nice weather, I think you will agree that we are all in need of a few sunrays before we are all taking holidays to other countries to escape the tiresome weather.

It will soon be that time of year when not a single person will want to step out of their nice warm beds and into the cold temperature, where fire’s are on full blast and slippers will never leave your feet! At the moment the weather is getting better throughout the day but mornings and evenings have to be the worst part of any day due to the temperature…when is the winter going to stop tormenting us? When we stock up on winter coats, jumpers and boots or when we simply stop complaining about the weather and make the most of it.

It looks like we are all in for a long, cold winter, so prepare yourself!
