Who should rule the house ?

It is an accepted fact that in all the societies, the woman goes to the house of her husband and it is also on record that the man i.e. the husband is considered as the head of the house and he commands the house. All others are expected to obey his orders and suggestions and the house goes ahead as per desire of the man. And at the same time, we, the people of India call this woman who is wife in the house as ' ghar wali ' or mistress of the house and in the West they call her ' better half ' which also means that she is taken something more than the husband.
In all the societies the man goes out for earning money for the house and now in some of the societies the women have also started going out for work and they too have started earning for the house. There were times when the parents of the woman were preparing her only for household work, but now they have started giving her proper education, proper training and they are preparing their daughters to work and earn because it has become difficult to run the family administration with the earning of one member of the house.
It is an accepted fact that the man is stronger in body and he can face more difficulties and therefore, he could attain the status of head of the family and there had been time when the woman had been kept as second rated member of the family. She had been considered as weak and she is not in a position to protect herself and her honour and dignity. Therefore, in all the ages she had been remaining under the cover of her husband .Here in India she had been under the parents till marriage and after marriage she was given under the cover of her husband and when her husband dies, she was again put under the charge of her own male children. All the societies in the world had been following such a course.
But we have to accept that only those houses could go ahead where they could get a wise woman as wife of the man. If she is not wise, she will not run the house and all the money earned by the husband could be wasted within a few days and the remaining days of the month the family shall have to face difficulties. A wise woman shall keep the number of children within limits, she shall give them proper bringing up, she would give them proper education, proper training and proper adjustment in life. The husband all alone cannot run the family administration and if we go deep we find that more work and more responsibilities are taken up by the wife and the man could get to earn more for the family. The woman gets more time to be near to her children and therefore, they are getting more from the mother and less from the father.
The husband who takes himself as the master of the house is found very weak before his wife and he too obeys her and works at her command. Every successful man has got a woman at his back and this wife is the best friend of man who makes him of double the strength in life. We know that men who are without wife are weak and demoralized person, but the men with wives are more stronger and more happy. Married man is a satisfied man and even the society around him recognizes him and allows him to mingle with them, but if he is all alone, the families around him would not allow his entry in their house.
Man may be having the upper hand in the house, but he must know that he too should accept all the suggestions, guidance from the side of his wife and must accept and give her due honour. If she is happy, she would be cooperating with him and if she is not happy, she would not be giving him help and he would become a lone person and therefore, she must be given due respect in the house. She must be considered as the Mistress of the house and something more than the man of the house.
