The basic process of distillation for the manufacture of liquor consists in distilling this solution. For enhanced taste components other than ethanol, including water, esters, and other alcohols, are collected in the condensate. While the basic distillation process remains essentially the same for most liquor, the most commonly manufactured spirits using this method are rum and whiskey.
