Affiliate Marketing on the Internet - are You Successful?

Most of the affiliate marketing on the Internet is being done by newbies. Since affiliate marketing is one of the easiest business to start up it makes sense that a lot of new people are trying their hand at it. Really you don't need any money and you can make some nice profits. But, are you successful?

what is success really? Success means a lot of different things to different people. Some people get into affiliate marketing on the internet to make some extra money. So, $100 - $200 a month is success for them while still others want a full time income and success would be between $2500 - $5000 a month. Whatever success means to you it isn't going to happen with out a 'GOAL'.

A goal is never really a goal until you have written it down. Yes, take out a piece of paper and actually write down a monthly goal of how much you want to make. Once you have written this goal out then you need to write down how you plan on achieving this goal. It could be as simple as this: "I want to make $500 a month by promoting (your product). I will do this by writing articles to promote my site." You can go into how many articles you plan on writing a day and how much traffic you need to drive to your page and what the conversion rate is etc... Once you written you goal out you will need to post it some where you will see it everyday to reinforce what you want. I put mine right on my computer monitor.

To really be successful at affiliate marketing on the internet you will need to focus. Focus is the main key to success. Keep track of what, how, and why you are doing something.  Having a website is key, but you can also set up a blog at blogger.com if you are short on money. You need to pre-sell your prospects first on the product before sending them to the merchants page. Do a search on affiliate marketing and check out some of the other pages and see what they are doing so you can get some ideas.

Affiliate marketing on the internet can be very rewarding and profitable if you do your homework. You need to follow a proven system and you will need to work! Nothing comes to you for free and affiliate marketing is no exception.
