If you've been looking for a magic pill for your home business, well I'm sad to say there is none. Yes, there is none and the tooth fairy doesn't exist. It's time to get back to reality. So how do you make a doctor's income with your home business? I'm going to show you how it's done. No, it's not a magic pill, but with a bit of know-how, you can create a mightily prosperous business.
Okay, the first thing you have to do is to create a business plan. Most people think creating a plan is like a 'rite of passage' - it has to be done. Well, it has to be done, and you have to follow your plan. It's not just something that you 'have to do'. You need to create an actionable business plan that is sort of a living document that changes as your business grows.
The second thing you have to do is to get knowledgeable and get skilled. Yes, you need knowledge and you need skills to make it in this business. You need to know how to set up a website, you need to know how to set up an autoresponder etc. You must know how to write powerful, persuasive ads. Put it this way - if you want to become a lawyer or a doctor, you need to earn your stripes first. The way I look at it, Internet marketing is no different.
The third thing is to get your house in order. If you're broke and financially desperate, it's not the right time to start a business. Get a job on a temporary basis and build up your funds first. The truth is being in business and being desperate is a potentially dangerous cocktail. It's likely you will not accomplish much. So number 3, get your house in order first.
