2. Be wary about testimonials. Believe it or not, these are not difficult to fabricate and by tying it in with the first rule, you'll eliminate many pitfalls. Think about it, if someone had intentions other than being honest with you why would they go to the trouble of getting testimonials from real people.
3. Be wary of documented proof such as screen shots of checks or accounts showing lots of money being made. In most cases, many areas will be blacked out and only the amounts earned being shown. This is not acceptable when looking for documented proof yet many will click the order button as soon as they've seen this simply because it gets them excited.
4. Look for contact information. We're not talking about just an email contact but a phone contact and a name. Make sure you phone the number and if there is a real live person on the other end who seems to know about the opportunity you're inquiring about, then you have some proof that this may be a legitimate opportunity and not one of those online paid survey scams.
