How to Compete With Full-timers in Your Network Marketing Business

All human beings only have 24 hrs. each day to make something happen. The truth is that the MAJORITY of network marketers are Part-time.

I'm going to be brutally honest with you.

When I first started in network marketing I used to think it would be WONDERFUL to devote all my available working time to building my business. However, I was distracted by a full time job. I had to make myself get up everyday and go to a JOB. My job wasn't my PASSION, it wasn't what I LOVED doing and this made it hard to get up every morning. Some of you reading this may be feeling the same way.

I try not to be selfish or conceited or egotistical or any of the other things that are common to man. But, I used to hate sitting through my weekly briefings and company events when it was time for RECOGNITION. I know those of you experienced network marketers know what I mean.

Now don't get me wrong, I wasn't mad at the other successful networkers, but I still used to feel depressed and a little angry because I kept wondering "What was taking ME so long, why were things not working out for ME?" Each week I would "try" to be coachable. I was following 'the easy duplicatable system', working my butt off Part-time, spending money I could not recoup fast enough in commissions and having No duplication in my downline.

This was my reality!!

The truth is this is the REALITY of most network marketers.

Just about every network marketer's goal is to transition from building their business part-time to full-time. Only a small majority across the globe have been able to accomplish this feat. It's less than you think. This means for most of us we are Part-Time.

So how do we compete with Full-timer's?

To compete with Fulltimer's we NEED to focus the majority of our activities on LEVERAGED strategies and CREATING VALUE in other's. This is why it is incredibly hard to build a network marketing organization Part-time for the vast majority of people. Let me explain... handing out business cards, DVD's, CD's, Magazines in your local community at random is not a LEVERAGED strategy. The only way this strategy works is if your business survives long enough for you to get some CORE leaders who are all willing to go out and duplicate what your doing.

Making cold calls is not a leveraged skill because it's all about YOU. Again, the only way this strategy works is if your lucky to have a team of CORE leaders who are good at cold calling.

I believe that the ONLY way for a Part-timer to really COMPETE with the big guys and gals in our industry is to leverage their time using technology. Part-timers NEED to be in a state of LEAD ABUNDANCE. They NEED to have strategies that are leveraging their time while at work. They need to come home from work and have a ton of targeted prospects to call and create value with.

A Part-timer has to be willing to invest the time and money in education. Even the great Jim Rohn says to NOT wish for less problems, but wish for more SKILLS. You learn the skills through education and practice. Learning new skills creates your value and brands YOU as a leader in this industry.

Next, you want to excel at teaching others.

I love teaching my team how to set up lead capture pages that generate prospects, I love teaching my team how to make crazy amateur video's that generate prospects day in and day out, I love teaching my team how to write articles and post them all over the Internet targeting specific keywords relating to their niche, I love teach my team how to build relationships in social networking communities and forums, I love teaching my team how to use Pay Per Click, and I love teaching my team how to write effective newsletters that generate prospects. These strategies if done correctly will produce prospects and business partners while your working your J O B - That's leverage!!

My advice to you if you are Part-time is to focus on LEVERAGED strategies. Schedule your time everyday and just begin. Remember, leveraged marketing skills is KEY to competing with full-timer's.
