It is true there are literally hundreds of network marketing companies. When picking a company one should do due diligence and not just join a network marketing company because it is the only one they know and their friend is doing it.
Residual income from direct sales in network marketing is a great way to make an extra income. If you do it correctly you can actually replace your current occupation if you so desire.
There are a few things to consider when picking a company to go with, number one on that list should be the product. Find a network marketing company that has a product or two that you really like. To be honest you should really ‘love’ the product.
Why, because number one, you will talk about this product for a long time. Number two, you have to position yourself as a product user and expert, so you better be using the product and enjoying it. People will see right through you if you don’t truly love your product.
Many of us limit ourselves by doing a “job” that we don’t like and have to drag ourselves to everyday. Why not market something you “love”, then you will enjoy going to work and sharing your product with others.
Quite a few companies out there are going to pitch “opportunity”, but you have to look at product. Most all companies have a decent “opportunity”, what you want to look for is a product that tickles your fancy.
The next thing to look at in picking a network marketing company is the company itself. Don’t get caught up in start up companies. The bottom line is most fail, and that is the last place you want to invest your money, way too risky. Look for established companies with a track record that you can research and make a sound decision from.
The Direct Selling Association has a wonderful web site that you can look at different companies and at least start your research. The web site is dsa.org, make sure and check it out. Again, look for a company with a proven track record, you are not out to reinvent the wheel at this point.
Finally, after a thorough check of the company and its history and financial records, meet the owners. Take a trip to the headquarters of your prospective company and meet the people you will be representing. If they don’t allow that, then move on.
If they do, take a look at whom they are. Are they like you, are they committed to helping their network marketers or are they just there to move product through you. If you feel comfortable about the owners, love their product you are definitely in the right place.
Finally, at some point you have to go for it. When you build a business that gives you residual income, there is nothing better out there financially and mentally.
