· Describe the item on a factual basis, providing information about its texture, size, condition, color and maker,
· Describe the benefits of the item to the potential bidder should they be successful so that they are drawn to buying your item as opposed to someone else's item,
· Opt to link other items in your eBay store to this listing, so that potential bidders can click to the items that might well interest them in your eBay store,
· List items in your eBay store by category so that potential bidders can view all items that might interest them, with ease and won't miss anything that might be of interest to them because either they cannot find it or they don't know that it is not there,
· Be clear about your payment and feedback terms - people generally like to know payment terms and postage upfront and this generally encourages more bids on your items and of course it discourages any ambiguity so there can be no arguments after someone had become the successful bidder, and
· Wherever possible place one or two photos of your item within the listing so that potential bidders can see the item for themselves.
