3. The next thing to check for is if the affiliate program will allow you to be one of their affiliates without having to purchase any of their products.
4. The fourth thing to check for is how many different affiliates the company or merchant is already using. Asking what the average income of these affiliates is and how much the top earners get is important knowledge to have as well.
5. Number five of 10 things to check before joining an affiliate program is asking if the business allows access to an online sales stats page to see what kind of traffic your site is actually getting from the affiliate program.

10. The final thing to check before joining an affiliate program is the ordering options they give customers. The more ordering options a company has, the more likely someone will be to purchase an item, and thereby making you money.
