Leadership In Network Marketing

Why leadership?

Leadership is the difference between winners and losers. It is the difference between the great and the average. Think for a second, about all of the leaders in your life right now. Who would you consider a leader? Why? What do they do that other people don't? What are some character traits of these people?

Leaders are the people who are willing to do what most people will not. They are the ones who step out of their comfort zone. They are the people who go out of their way to help others. They set standards and do not take no for an answer.

This is especially critical in network marketing.

Think for a second if you were about to join one of these companies. What would be the deciding factor that would cause you to whip out your credit card and join? Would it be the company, compensation plan, founders or the products that would entice you to join? Or would it be a leader that would be able to show you how to build your business and make you money?

Surely your answer would be the latter.

More important than advertising?

Most people would read the title of this article and not completely agree. Yes, you do have to learn how to advertise and market in order for you to make sales and sponsor other distributors into your organization, but these are not going to put you in the top 3% of the industry. Leadership will.

By being a leader you provide so much value and offer so much more to other people. This is very attractive to other people, especially leads and potential prospects. It's probably fair to say that the majority of people who never make a dime in this industry simply do not possess leadership qualities.

In order to become a network marketing leader you have to learn, know and experience more than most of the people. The more skill sets you know and knowledge you bring to the table, the higher your value will be and the more sought after you will be. This is all on the basis of attraction.

Even back in the day (thousands of years ago) leaders were highly sought after because of their value and what they offered. Many of the great minds in history, that are still spoke of today, were leaders in their respective field. (Einstein, Thomas Edison, Larry Bird, John D. Rockefeller, etc.)

Even if you are not in network marketing, becoming a leader will be a great advantage for you. You could be a leader for your kids, your friends, your community, church, whatever it may be. But this will require you to come out or your comfort zone and do things you are not accustomed to doing.
