MLM Residual Income: How to Earn and Maintain it

You can go out there and join every business opportunity in town, but if you don't have this thing called residual income, you don't have a real business. The ultimate goal of every network marketing entrepreneur is to earn residual income from a downline that is immune to attrition, economic crisis, and market saturation.

The most basic and old fashioned way to earn residual income in MLM is to sponsor (or recruit) a certain amount of people to your frontline. You then teach these frontline members to duplicate what you just did. And so you continually "support" them until they produce their own frontline members, and the process is continued over and over again until your downline grows and gives you big fat commissions in the process.

The problem is, this process takes long to accomplish! I think it's safe to say that it takes six to twelve months even for the advanced networker to establish a steadily growing downline that yields a considerable income on a monthly basis. So does this mean that we all need to wait for long periods of time before we can experience true residual income in MLM?

The answer is no. Luckily there are other ways to earn residual income in MLM. I call it "backdoor residual income secrets". All you do is this: Aside from offering your business opportunity and earning only when someone signs up to your program, start providing and satisfying the overlooked needs of your downline. You can do this by providing tools, services, and products that people in your downline need to build their own business.

For example, you can sell monthly autoresponder subscriptions to your downline members. This is a good way to earn residual income because every person in your downline needs an autoresponder so they too, can grow their MLM business and duplicate what you're doing. When you sell autoresponder subscriptions to your downline, you open up a new stream of cashflow which repeats itself monthly (you earn from the monthly autoresponder fees plus the commissions on the sales that your people make).

You can also earn residual income by selling website hosting and domain name registration to your downline members. When people join your network marketing business and see your website, the first thing that they want to do is to get their own website too. You can take advantage of this opportunity by offering them web hosting. At the same time, you earn a commission from their monthly website fees. If you are an experienced web designer, you can also design websites for your downline members, in exchange for a fee of course. It's an additional income stream.

Another great way to earn backdoor residual income in MLM is to recommend affiliate products and information products in such a way that, when you make a sale, you also earn commissions from that sale. We all know that people in the MLM industry are constantly buying information courses, software, training programs, ebooks, and downloadables. By providing those needed resources to your downline members, not only do you establish yourself as a leader and provider, you also earn residual money through many different ways from the same people. Even if you only have a small or medium sized downline, there's no limits to the amount of income you can make.
