"mlm Leads" - Quality Vs. Quantity

Whether you're new to network marketing or you're a veteran, I'm sure at one point your upline told you to purchase "MLM leads". If you went through the process of purchasing some, I'm sure you know you can buy 5 cent leads or 5 dollar leads. So, what's the difference? You can buy way more 5 cent leads than the 5 dollar ones, but is more always better? 
 
As with anything, there are two sides. If you're brand new and have never called a "cold" lead in your life, do not start with the 5 dollar leads! You want to practice on the 5 cent leads! Once you get good and learns the "dos and don'ts" of cold calling, you can work your way up to the better, more expensive leads. (The more expensive the lead is, the more qualified the prospect).
 
A lot of people are now focusing on internet marketing and generating their own leads instead of buying them from a company who generates them. Since you will be paying the same amount for every lead, you want to focus on quality instead of quantity. It doesn't matter if you get 300 people to enter their information into your site if nobody is interested in your opportunity.
 
So, how do you create quality (MLM leads) online? One way is by telling them exactly the kind of person you're seeking. You aren't just looking for any yoo-hoo who wants to make money online.   You're seeking somebody dedicated to creating a lifestyle for themselves. You want somebody who is willing to do whatever it takes to make money! This will disqualify a lot of people because the majority of people just want to turn on their computer and see money deposited into their account (and it just doesn't work that way!).
 
So, when buying MLM leads, you want to make your purchase based on experience. If you require some practice, go for the cheaper ones, but if you're REALLY good at closing sales, focus on the more expensive leads because you should (if the lead generation company is any good) be able to close more of these leads with much less effort and time. However, if you're generating your own leads online, focus on QUALITY rather than quantity.   You will pay the same amount for each lead (depending on how you get them to your site...some will be free if you're using the right methods!), so you don't want everybody with a pulse to enter their information. 
 
Focus on both cold calling and generating leads online until you master one! Once you have one mastered (I suggest focusing on getting really good at online marketing because this is how you can leverage your time), spend your time there!
