The annoying questions, from my friend Michael, stopped after he followed my suggestion to look into shelving by design. In addition to a wife and two new-born babies, Michael recently purchased a house. During their recent graduate studies, Michael and his wife had accumulated many books which they needed room for before beginning careers as university professors. Shelving by design provided a safer alternative, for a home with infants, to conventional bookcases and high shelving. Michael's wife had discarded his large, oaken shelving and let the books remain in boxes, because the shelving conflicted with her taste in decor. Easy access to a large portion of their well-loved literature for reference is something that their careers demanded. Samples of shelving by design provided Michael's wife with the opportunity to arrange the books in the room in an organized way for easy retrieval. After the first semester, they no longer needed to teach without an organized book collection. The shelving aligned with feng shui, up-to-date design. and the safety of her children. When researching the all the options the shelving offered, they found that the tremendous array of artistic possibilities open to them were a problem they were happy to deal with. Michael stuck to the room and area measuring tasks, and left the research work to his wife. I decided my suggestion had been enough and stayed away after his wife began her journey to finding and installing the shelving by design. Sleek white shelving, in various sizes, to line the walls and house the books was her final choice. After my suggestion to Michael and his wife's approval, I didn't have to loan him the shelving in my office anymore. Michael's wife has had many compliments on her new furniture, and I've been thanked many times for the recommendation. I'll never tell her that I get twice as many compliments concerning my shelving by design.
