The Internet and it Power to Spread Dreams
If you take a moment and run any basic search in any search engine looking for home based businesses and work at home opportunities, you will absolutely find one opportunity after another, each with a section that highlights the absolute best about working at home. Work at home opportunities want to get you all revved up and dreaming about the day you get to walk in and fire your boss. So many hard working individuals want this dream so badly that it can become a habit to read through every work at home opportunity out there and get caught up in the dream building section of each and every site. Spending four hours “researching” these work at home opportunities every day can eat away at some pretty good action time to bring the dream a little closer to reality.
There is a lot of competition out there on the internet which overwhelms you with emails and work at home advice and promises that you can easily spend your work time reading instead of working, which of course doesn’t bring you any closer to the dream of quitting your job. You have to remain focused on your business. You can’t allow these other emails that may have hired a better copy writer to distract you from your task of building your own business day in and day out.
Nothing Worth Having is Ever Handed to You
If you have a dream, which you must if you are spending your free time working on a business, then you have to be willing to work for it. Nothing good ever comes for free. In fact, they make a lot of movies about such things. Things like paid sign ups and guaranteed sign ups seem like a simple and easy shortcut to real internet marketing. How easy it would be to simply hand over $500 and then wait for your sign ups to happen all by themselves. However, if you read the fine print or even go so far as to speak to someone at a paid sign ups or guaranteed sign up company, the time frame they allow themselves to find these sign ups may not do you much good in the long run. Paid sign ups and guaranteed signs ups don’t remind you that retention is the harder part of marketing. Sure, they have a year to find you 15 people. In that year, how many do you think are going to drop out if you aren’t establishing a strong working relationship with them from the very beginning?
Paid sign ups and guaranteed sign ups have been written in as a violation of terms of use for most internet marketing companies. This is not only to protect the company you are working with, but also to protect you. For every paid sign up or guaranteed sign up you receive, chances are pretty good you will lose in the end. Thus, instead of taking your first year in your business to slowly sign up just five people, you had all 15. When 14 of them quit, how deflated are you going to be? You are then likely to quit as well, and walking away from a dream is always a crime against humanity.
Belief in Yourself and Baby Steps
Work at home opportunities are fabulous. They offer a new way of life to so many individuals who desperately need a new way of life. They offer financial hope, freedom, and time freedom in a way like no other business can ever offer. That is what makes them so popular. While you are learning the pitfalls put out there by others, such as paid sign ups and guaranteed sign ups, you are taking the appropriate baby steps to reach your goals. It is not only okay to believe in yourself, but a necessary component to successfully utilizing a work at home opportunity.
There is a lot of negative feedback in this world. You will absorb a lot of negative feedback and you may even be pretty good at giving yourself some negative feedback. You have the power to offset that negative feedback by taking daily baby steps toward your goals and your dreams. One day at a time and one step at a time is the same way the most successful at work at home opportunities came to be that way. It is completely within your power to take control of your life. While it may not always be the easiest place to be, it is certainly the most empowering with the greatest pay off in the end.
