You might guess that the most popular reason people give up on their dream of working at home would be financial difficulty or lack of funds - well, guess again!  The number one reason so many fail when trying to start a home business is:  not taking massive, effective action!

Taking massive, effective action is crucial, especially in the beginning stages of building a home based business.  Working at home part time usually means working full time at first (at least that's what it will feel like!)  And much of that work should be time spent taking massive, effective action on a consistent, daily basis.

Now what do I mean by effective action?  Well, there is action and then there is effective action.  Anyone can take action, and most people who fail are sometimes puzzled by the fact that they failed.  This is because they fooled themselves into thinking that they were actually working every.  Just because you are doing something does not mean you are working or taking effective action.  Researching, organizing, planning, sending out emails that are not marketing or advertising your product (or service), etc., is all doing something, yes, but this is prep work that may or may not have a direct impact on your bottom line results.  This is busy work, and it may be necessary, but it may also be work you unconsciously do to actually keep yourself from doing the work that is necessary to succeed.

Effective action is work that is directly related to your bottom line.  Examples of effective action are almost anything that will put you in direct contact with your customer:

• Coming up with promotions and offers and emailing them to your potential customers.

• Writing an article that includes a link to your product and submitting it to article sites.

• Calling your customers or future customers and asking for the sale.

• Creating a marketing campaign and then implementing it.

In your heart of hearts you know when you are actually taking effective action.  And this has to be MASSIVE action.  When I say massive, I mean daily, focused, laser-like action.  Remember the 80/20 rule:  80% of your results are achieved from 20% of your efforts - so make that 20% the biggest 20% you can and your 80% will be grand!

Some would say you get out of your business what you put into it.  So, make sure whatever you put into your business is effective and massive.  Working at home part time can be rewarding and extremely profitable - if you remember to take massive, effective action on a consistent, daily basis!
