Being an air conditioning contractor, there are so many tips that i can offer people. These tips can really help people save money and get the best air conditioning system available to them. Below are my 6 tips to ensure you get the best air conditioning package available.
1. Always Get A Few Quotes - As with anything you get quotes for, with air conditioning you should always get at least 3 quotations before proceeding with any work. This will give you a few different options and prices.
2. Research For The Best Brands - Price is usually (not always) an indicator of quality. Don't get stuck using a cheaper brand of unit. Always try to purchase the best brand that you can afford. By spending a little bit extra, you will save a lot of heartache and hassle in the long run as cheaper units will have more ongoing problems.
3. Get Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning - Reverse cycle (refrigerative) air conditioning (also known as a heat pump) can heat and cool your home and offer the best comfort. Don't go with a cheaper form of air conditioning, be sure to ask for the best.
4. Buy In Winter - Don't buy an it conditioner in the middle of summer. It will cost you more money and the installation may be rushed. Buy in winter time and you will get a better install and probably pay less!
5. Do some Research - Don't take the salesman's word for it. Do your own research into which air conditioning brands are the best. A little bit of research will help you obtain the best system available.
6. Pay With Cash - Paying by check and credit cards is slow and has fees. Cash is the best way to pay for goods, so ask the contractor if you can have a discount if you pay with cash. Don't be to afraid to do a little haggling either.
These are my 6 most important air conditioning tips. Stick with these tips and you will be sure to get a quality system at an extremely affordable price.
