Adhesive Tape – Keeping Your House Move Together

Moving house is usually a busy and chaotic experience and often a traumatic one too! There is all the packing up at the property you are leaving and then all the unpacking at your new home. Not to mention all the finger crossing and worrying with last minute legal paperwork!

If the house you are leaving has been a property you and perhaps a family have been living in for many years, then the task can be greater still with lots of family property and items to sort through. Some of it will turn out to be complete rubbish that you actually enjoy putting in the garbage but there will also likely be many precious, personal and family items that must be kept for sentimental or practical reasons.

There are a few tools that I recommend, that on the surface may seem very simple and obvious but prove to be nothing short of essential when beginning the sorting and moving process.

What is my personal favourite number one tool when moving house? Why of course its adhesive tape! Yes adhesive tape can be the difference between organisation and chaos, between neatly stacked items and a trail of personal items littered all down the street!

I recently helped a friend move house and the adhesive tape became my best friend! Not everyone can hire a nice big van or lorry and move all items in one clean sweep, some have to make do with multiple bus or car journeys and juggling a tower of possessions like the most exciting episodes of Crackerjack’s double or drop!

Taping up bundles of paper, boxes, bags of clothes, magazines, old books all proved very useful as did taping up bundles of rubbish, holding it all together to make it easier to dispose of!

Ok, so perhaps there are more important things to consider when moving house, but when it comes to the practical act of actually moving the good old adhesive tape will hold it all together! This tape really is one of the most muli talented of packaging materials!
