Beautiful Colour Combinations to Transform Your Home

Beautiful colour combinations are at the heart of every interior design style. Having the ability to mix and coordinate colours to create the ambience and atmospheres for every room is quite a knack!

Due to this reason many people turn to interior designers to create beautiful rooms and gorgeous homes. Whilst this of course is everybody's dream, many people simply cannot afford to engage the professional service of interiors designers and embark on voyages of discovery to create beautiful homes themselves.

A common error made is to dive headlong into redecorating without taking the time to given any serious consideration to what they are hoping to achieve. One of the simplest ways and an essential starting point is to look for inspiration and take snippets from the professionals.

This can be done by sitting looking through the numerous interior design magazines or browsing online at the latest design trends via blog posts to give you wonderful ideas on finished looks from which you can to transform your own living space into gorgeous homes.

You may not be able to afford to mimic every detail and purchase exactly the same furniture and soft furnishings, but you will be able to be inspired to try something new.

Simple aspects such as the way your furniture is organised within a room can have a dramatic impact on the overall look. Adding throws and cushions can easily and affordably transform existing furniture rather than replace it.

Changing the lighting may also be an cost effective way to alter the ambience and atmosphere in a room. Do away with overhead central lighting and opt for table lamps of various shapes and sizes to light dull corners and make visually interesting focal points.

Even bathrooms can be transform on a budget. One of the most effective being to clear away all shampoo and shower bottles! Tuck them away inside cupboards or arrange them neatly on the corner of a bath. You can only use one of each at any given time, reduce the number on display to create a sense of uncluttered and organised space.

Adding a new window blind will also be an instant tonic in a bathroom. Opt for Venetian styles which will also provide you with privacy.

Colour schemes can also be a headache. If you want to get away from magnolia on your walls try mixing colours inspired by nature such as pastel pink and green. It may sound like a disaster waiting to happen, however if you select the same hues and shades the combination of colour can have a marked affect on how you room looks.

Change the curtains in a lounge and inject colour with new ones. If you have a carpeted floor it may be a good idea to coordinate the curtains with it. Buying new curtains is far cheaper than replacing carpets!

Do away with net curtains if your room is overlooked. Swap for metal blinds which are fully adjustable and provide the same amount of privacy. By having metal blinds inside the recess of the window will also give you the opportunity to have the curtains swept back and left in place at all times, as you will be able to simply close the louvers on the blind at night.

Take inspiration from others and you can very easily transform your home into a beautiful living space to be proud of.
