Clubhouse Swing Set Rules

No clubhouse is complete without a clubhouse swing set. All kids will enjoy playing on a swing set, but first, their permissible age should be considered before deciding on the type and brand of set to purchase. This is because different age groups of children are safe in different types of swing sets. And to ensure that it is absolutely safe for playing, it is important to make everyone follow these clubhouse swing set rules:

1. Rules for your clubhouse toddlers. Toddlers should play only on swing sets that have seats with support. If toddlers play on swing seats that don't have any support, there is a possibility of the child undergoing spinal problems. Clubhouse swing sets made from rubber or plastic are safer than sets made of metal or wood which may have sharp edges or splinters. So this should be the preferred choice for your clubhouse. Protruding bolts or other similar harmful things should be removed for obvious reasons. Any sharp edges must be rounded and any 'S' hooks on the swing must be fully closed. Make sure these toddler swing sets are always two feet or more off the ground to ensure that the toddler is not able to crawl under the swing.

2. Rules when playing on swings and slides. Always make sure that children are not too close to each other on the swing or slide while playing. This is to avoid collision. They must also be reminded not to walk in front of a swing when another child is swinging to avoid being hit. Kids also love to 'double ride' on swings designed to hold only one child at a time. Thus, it is important that you ensure that only one child is allowed to sit on a swing at a time. Further, children should be told not to swing empty seats, push swings of other kids to extreme heights and not to twist the chains of the swings. These are common causes of accidents among children playing on a clubhouse swing set. They should also be told to hold the swing tightly when swinging, and to go down from the swing only after it stops completely.

3. Make sure adults are always around. Adult supervision is the most important rule. An adult should always be around to watch over the children playing on the swing set and to constantly remind them about these clubhouse swing set rules. While playing, even older kids may forget all these rules, in the excitement of playing on these clubhouse swing sets.

4. Make sure there is adequate lighting at all times. Of course, during the day time, there will be sufficient lighting for the kids to play in the playground. However at night, if the clubhouse swing set is accessible to kids, you have to ensure that the playground is properly illuminated. Without the proper lighting, it is possible that the children may end up in collisions and minor accidents while playing.
