Commercial Air Conditioning Advice

Commercial buildings like residential buildings require air conditioning in most situations. Almost all commercial buildings such as offices, warehouses, schools and shops require air conditioning to keep the inhabitants either cool or warm. Any building that has to house a large number of people usually needs some form of hvac. Below are 4 tips about commercial air conditioning.

1) Size The Unit Larger - When sizing an air conditioner for a commercial environment, it is essential to upsize the unit. Residential properties have far less people and space to air condition, and thus the units can be smaller. Commercial properties however are often full of people and machinery which will increase the heat load, which means you need a bigger air conditioner.

2) Evaporative For Factories - If you own a factory or a large commercial building, an evaporative system may be perfect for your needs. Evaporative air conditioners can cool large areas relatively cheaply, and are often used in car factories or anything where there is a large area with hot equipment. They usually have large plenums that distribute the air across the factory.

3) Workplace Heat Sources - Machines like printers, fridges, photocopiers and more all add heat to a commercial property which means you will require more cooling. Remember this when sizing up the unit to ensure the air conditioner will be capable of cooling/heating the desired area.

4) Better Productivity - Finally, an air conditioned commercial office or factory will ultimately lead to better productivity with workers. It will also give your workers a feeling of good will, so if you don't have air conditioning in your property, be sure to add it.

These are just some of the most important reasons as to why air conditioning is so important in more than just a residential setting.
