Your tenants have moved out of your house and it’s time for the new ones to move in. But before that, the whole house has to be cleaned properly and be prepared for arrival of next tenants. The end of tenancy cleaning is a systematic job which can be done by professional cleaners, if you don’t have time or energy to put into it. In order to ensure that the house is clean before vacating it, there are few areas which need extra supervision.
Kitchen: most people are very particular about the kitchen cleanliness. Once the tenants vacate the house, all the kitchen cupboards need to be cleaned from outside and from the inside. The kitchen appliances such as microwave, oven, fridge, grill, stove top, dishwasher or toaster need to be wiped down carefully from both the inside and outside. Defrost the freezer. Scrub and wash all hard surfaces and kitchen countertops, descale the kitchen sink, clean grease and dust off the radiator and other electrical fixtures, clean the windows, window sills and doors.
Bathrooms: apart from cleaning the toilets, they also need to be disinfected. Once the bathroom floors, toilet, bath tubs, showers, doors and tiles have been scrubbed clean they need to be disinfected as well to prevent any sort of infections from spreading. The bathroom sink should be descaled too. The bathroom mirrors should be cleaned and the medical cabinets should be emptied of any unused medicines.
Bedrooms: start by emptying the closets and cupboards. Remove all the rubbish, throw away old papers and magazines, clean mirrors, vacuum carpets, dust and wash window sills, vacuum and mop the floor (if not carpeted).
Living room and dining hall: vacuum the carpet, clean the carpet if necessary, clean the mirrors, clean and polish all the surfaces, dust and wash the windows and sills from inside and outside.
Garden: Weed the garden, paint the garden stools or tables if possible, or simply wash them thoroughly.
Once the house has gone through the end of tenancy cleaning, finding new tenants should not be a problem as the house should definitely look inviting.
