Finding the Right Ladder

Ladder safety is very important in choosing the right ladder for the job. Over the years, the simple ladder has evolved into various forms and designs, each designed to suit a particular function or purpose. One of the customized ladders very much in use today is the extendable ladder.

Extendable or Extension ladder is a type of adjustable ladder divided into two segments that can slid over one another. Usually, the lower part is the wider one to provide secure balance and weight support for the user. Another type is step ladder, Step ladders are also widely used in establishments like offices, schools, libraries, shops, stores and other commercial establishments for a variety of purposes.

Folding ladders are typically used in homes and offices to provide basic accessibility to higher surfaces in activities like cleaning, decorating, re-arranging, storing and retrieving items. Because of its portability and light weight, folding ladders are also often used in outdoor activities and as a stow-away tool carried in cars and family vans. Remember that since folding ladders are broken into segments and do not have continuous rigidity, weight pressure must be kept to a minimum to avoid accidents like slips and falls.
