Finding Ways To Finance Your Home Improvement Project...There's Help Out There!
I have been in the home improvement business for almost a quarter of a century and I still get very excited about beginning a new project. I always look forward to working with the new homeowner(s) and getting acquainted with all the members of the family and even the next door neighbors and friends. In my opinion it's a time of celebration and anticipation.
However, there are other times when I have received a distress call from homeowners who were experiencing an unexpected crisis. Out of the blue it seemed, something terrible had happen and they were unprepared emotionally and financially to deal with it. Accidents and unforeseen occurrences do happen to us all, but when it involves a major expense it can prove to be truly alarming.
There are some contractors that work for the rich and famous and financing their home improvement project is not an issue. But practically all my clients and customers are working class people who are not famous and are far from being rich. And yet it brings me joy to no end to please them in every way I can.
I personally respect the average American who works hard to earn a decent living and I try to reflect that in my work and commitment to providing a quality service that they can appreciate. I want to help out as much as possible...especially in times of disaster. Although it is true we must make a living, therefore, we must charge for our services; but we always manage to give something for free as a goodwill token---always. And that's just the way we do business, but we do want our customers/clients to know that there are sources available to assist you financially when unexpected emergencies do happen.
We live in the region of the country where there are many perils: hurricanes, tornadoes, windstorms, floods, hail damage, just to name a few and these menacing threats can turn into a major disaster with a blink of an eye. Without notice your home can be severely damaged or even completely destroyed. And in most cases home insurance will cover most of the damage-if not all. But in other cases homeowners are left to deal with their lost all alone.
However, all is not necessarily lost and assistance can be just a phone call away. There are banks that are dedicated to helping homeowners secure financing to repair/rebuild their home whether it's an emergency or not. Banks that have loan officials that are dedicated to providing homeowners with the help they need. Savings and loan companies, finance companies, just to name a few that will lend you money when you need it the most.
All you have to do is tap into this vast pool of financial help and talk it over with a qualified representative and stop your worrying. In most cases help is readily available and they are more than willing to assist you in every way they can. It's their business!
Remember, family members can also prove to be a safe vessel for help, as well as neighborhood credit unions and other reputable lending services. But I caution you to stay away from high interest loan shops that can prove to be a deep dark pit. And even legitimate loan companies that charge ridiculously high interest rates are to be avoided at all cost. Never, never, never sign your property away just to get some kind of financial assistance in an emergency situation. Always contact the better business bureau in your area and you should seek the services of an attorney. If you can't afford an attorney contact legal aid or an attorney that will provide services pro bono.
Homeowners have so many options when it comes to finding ways to finance their home improvement/rebuild projects. And I would like to mention that there are many government programs that are designed to help homeowners to secure grants and low interest loans. All you have to do is apply...you have nothing to lose. Good luck and I wish you well. Learn More
