Furniture Designer Makes Furniture Designs

Niels Joergen Haugesen is one of the celebrated furniture designers who has achieved much success with a few furniture designs. His furniture designs were done in a way close to perfection, which earned Niels the nickname 'the minimal maximum' among his contemporary furniture designers.

Niels Haugesen is mostly recognised for the design work that he did on the Haugesen table and the chair which was named the X-line. Niels is Danish by birth, and he was born in 1936.

Niels designed the distance seating collection which derived its name from its outstanding salient features. These features included the split back support in which the top most section looks like it is floating on top of the lower. This feature enables the design to provide excellent comfort while at the same time maintaining its light simple appearance.

This masterpiece is an improvement on what Niels designed while he was still at the design school. The distance furniture collection was launched for the first time in 2004. It includes a sofa series ranging from two to four-seaters. A corner sofa in addition to a stool as well as an armchair is also in the collection.

Organisations were also not left out in this collection, because there are benches which do not have armrests. These are specifically designed for organizations which have waiting rooms for clients.

The distance collection had within it a hardwood frame which had a finishing touch of fabric in addition to the metal legs. Niels Haugesen believes that for you to become a successful designer, you must know how to design simple functional furniture.

To him, this is the most basic step towards being an accomplished furniture designer in future. If you can not successfully carry out this task, then you had better reconsider your career options.

Niels Haugesen is one of the prominent furniture designers in Denmark. He ensures that his design work meets the highest standards in the market at all times. Due to his outstanding work in furniture design, Niels has won several awards in his native country.

Experts believe that Niels Haugesen is extremely successful at his design work because he is tenacious. He keeps on pushing himself to the limit. He does not easily give up on what he has set his heart to do, no matter how tricky it might seem. He acquired this character while working at a design studio owned by Arne Jacobsen.

Within the five years that he spent at the design studio, he ensured that he learnt all that there was to be learnt about proportioning and decorating interiors as well as furniture design.

The role that Arne Jacobsen played in Niels Haugesen's life while he was still learning the ropes of the design world has made him idolise Niels Haugesen's work to this date. Other prominent furniture designers who idolise Niels work are his contemporaries from the 1960's and 1970's.

Even though he is idolised, Niels Haugesen has remained focused in his work coming up with various original designs.
