If you have worked in an office before, you have most likely had issues with the air conditioning. So many offices have problems where one side of the office is freezing cold whilst the other side of the building is boiling hot. So why does this happen and what can be done about it? Below is a guide to commercial air conditioning systems which discusses why so many problems occur in offices and also highlights some possible solutions to your dilemmas.
Why It Occurs - So why do air conditioning problems occur in the office? The main reason is that different sides of an office have different heat loads. What you will usually find is that the sun will shine on one half of the building making this area hot. The people on this side run the air conditioner to cool themselves down. The office space on the other side of the building has no sun shining on it, and this area may already be cold. When the air conditioner goes on, the unlucky people on the cold side of the office get very cold whilst the other side sits in comfort. At the end of the day, the reverse often happens where the sun is now warming the other side of the office, so the other side encounters problems.
What you also find in an office situation is that different people have different needs and comfort levels. It is often hard to find a temperature for the air conditioning where everybody is happy.
Add Temperature Control - Adding temperature control can help fix your air conditioning system. If you can add a temperature control system to each side of the building, each side can have their own individual temperature. This is a simple way to solve a common problem, and it will keep both side of the office happy. A temperature control system can be quoted with a system, or added to an existing system at a later date.
Multiple Air Conditioners - Using multiple air conditioners for your office can really help solve temperature issues. Multiple units will allow more flexibility, as users can select their work areas own temperature. Multiple units are a lot more convenient and precise than using a single air conditioner to cool/warm an entire floor or office.
These office air conditioning tips should help you and the people in your office feel more relaxed and comfortable.
