Home Stager – The Person Behind The Transformation

You have made the decision to undergo home staging, and rightly so since this is a sound strategy for ensuring a successful sale. Now all you need to do is decide who the best provider for the project is.  There are many companies.  How do you choose? We provide some suggestions below to help make the right decision.

We know that emotional connection plays a major role in determining whether the sale of a home is successful or not. A good home stager will be able to effectively integrate the elements of design and functionality in order to create a bond between buyers and the home, combining creativity and creating wow factor.

One consideration is the background and experience of the stager; for example how long they have been in the home staging industry, do they have any certifications, does their portfolio shows the creativity and ingenuity required for the project. Should all of these aspects be satisfied, it doesn’t necessarily mean the right home stager has been found. We just know that they can do the job well.

Each home is unique in subtle or extremely noticeable ways, but no home is the same. Therefore the home stager needs to be able to adapt to this, adapt to your home and react to it. Ask them what other projects they have staged in your area, how many competitive listings are on the market in your area and the typical asking price for the homes that they have staged. These are the important considerations, proving that the company is aware of your home, its potential, and competition which your home needs to overcome in order to secure a quick and successful sale.
