Making A Statement With Bathroom Vanities

Ideas here include fancy scrolled vanities of lighter wood colors, large freestanding sinks with separate vanities and even darker colors with the right splash of accessories.

* Spartan. Some people prefer to keep it down to just the basics. A clean, Spartan look works well for them. A simple vanity with basic counters that serve the purpose and do it well works perfectly for this look.

* French Provincial. This classic look strikes a balance between feminine elegance and overall upscale design. With it's standard white design and gold gilt, this type of cabinet can make a huge change in any bathroom design. Add in luxurious countertops and richly appointed accessories and the room will be fit for a princess.

* Antique. There are some great reproduction and even original vanity designs that are created as freestanding cabinets with proper insets for a sink, sinks or plumbing.
