The recent headlines only detail what most Florida homeowners already know; their home resale value has dropped and the number of homes for sale has increased during the post housing bubble crunch. We can point fingers at the various reasons this has become the new reality; from the Fed to the liberal mortgage credit financing schemes as well as the investors who were enjoying double digit increases while flipping homes. Florida has been hurt like the rest of the country, and perhaps even harder with reduced income from tourism post 9/11 and the 2005 hurricane activity that has hurt the hospitality industry throughout the state. At the same time home property insurance has risen dramatically and the monthly energy bill from our local power companies is steadily rising. Advanced Film Solutions has been navigating through this market turmoil since we launched the company in early 2007. Our emphasis has been in educating our Tampa Bay consumer about the immediate and dramatic cost savings return by installing Vista Solar Window Films. These films immediately reduce the heat blasting through windows by a factor of nearly 80% and the reduced heat gain saves our Tampa homeowner a whopping 15-20% on their home's electric bill each month. We have consulted on well over 125 homes in the recent three months and the overriding reason consumers are installing our films is to drop their monthly electric bill that can total $500 a month or more! Real cost savings with a real return on investment not only improve the home's energy efficency but improve home security against home invasion, smash and grab and hurricane force winds. Green Thinking may sound nice but it's the bread and butter issues that make the Vista Window Films decision so obvious. If our client can save 15% on their monthly power bill while the annualized cost of the window film investment is less per day than the energy cost savings; well the decision is a no brainer. Power companies like Progress Energy and FP&L are offering rebates for businesses and home owners who install our Vista Films and the IRS has 2007 tax incentives that also make this a terrific time to get maximum return on investment. Advanced Film has hired former real estate sales people who really understand what is going on in the home resale marketplace at the moment and we will continue to add to our team. Here in Florida "Heat is the Enemy!" We have an obvious solution and the incredible reception by our clients has been very encouraging.
