Scrape copper can be normally found anywhere in the house from your kitchen utensils to your garage metal garbage. The only thing that is keeping you unaware of these things is that you don't know how to find them. Scrape copper can be a good thing to sell because most industry manufacturers buy them so that they can build cheaper products.
So here are some tips on how to find scrape copper in your old home and give you additional short time income that you can use on some of your miscellaneous expenses.
The Kitchen. The kitchen is one of the places where you will find lots of scrape copper, we have copper pots, copper cooking utensils and even copper plates. Sometimes coppers turns green with time or as it ages it turns into a different color so you barely notice them.
You can check if some of discolored metal utensils are copper by scraping a bit off its outer layer when it shows of a copper color then it is copper. Anyway your buyer of scrape coppers can distinguish which are true coppers and which are not. So you can just bring out your unused or old metal utensils and just have them checked on the store.
The Living Room. Most of the coppers that can be found on your living room are from decorative materials like chandeliers, picture frames and even side table tops are sometimes made from copper. You can check out the top of your fireplace from some old picture frames and check if they are copper and can be sold.
Even motors are made up of copper so try to look out for small motors from your old vacuum cleaner or small appliances that are motor driven.
Electric fans that you no longer use due to the large availability of air conditioner units can also be a good source of scrape coppers.
It is not just in our homes that scrape copper can be found they can also be on military and automobile radiators. These recycled coppers are sold to brass mills or copper mills before being sent to these manufacturing companies. They are refined first and melted down into different shapes that will suit the products needs.
Coppers are widely used because it can be easily reheated and transformed into so many other things. Copper is also one of the oldest metal elements we have ever known. Compared to other engineering metals, copper has the highest recycling rate. Copper rarely ends up on the garbage landfill; they are usually recycled by big manufacturers for them to be able to tone down the manufacturing expenses of their products.
