The Future of Electricity - Alternate Sources of Energy

What does the future of electricity hold for us? There are many things to look forward to when it comes to our electric power supply. Experts say we can expect a load of benefits we do not currently receive from our electric companies such as wireless electricity, having more control of our electricity, and electricity that is "green" energy.

The future of electricity will apparently be that of a wireless one. An experiment on wireless electricity was completed last year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and was successful. With more successful experiments on wireless electricity it will only be a matter of time before we as consumers start seeing this new technology in our homes. With this comes all sorts of advantages such as electrical appliances actually charging themselves without having to be plugged in. Wouldn't that be something helpful to all of us?

In the future we can expect to gain more control over our electricity. Industry experts believe your power supply will not stay dependent on the local electric company. They claim you will have complete control over how you want the electricity to reach your home. Experts expect to see a variety of different control options for consumers.

When talking about the future of electricity, we of course need to address the "green" energy movement. Experts believe that the electricity methods currently used will eventually be replaced with those of renewable sources of energy. The way it currently stands, electricity is produced mostly by consuming fuels that won't be around forever. So, there is not really an option other than to develop new "green" ways to deliver electricity to consumers.

Everything is going electric! We have already seen electric shavers, toothbrushes, and even electric cars. What else could we see going electric? How about combs, glasses, and even clothes could become some kind of electric gadgets. If you think these ideas are far fetched and unrealistic then I urge you to check out the futuristic shops at Akihabara in Japan.

No more outages? It seems like more than anything, consumers would like to see a future without power outages. Experts say that alternate power options can provide precisely that. With more and more electricity being used and generated, consumers should have an uninterrupted supply of power for their home.

The future of electricity is bright green if we all do our part for this planet. These are just some of the perceived benefits we can all expect to get from our electric companies.

Timber roof trusses

By: lizlivetech | 11/12/2009
In the early days of housing construction, roofs that where also constructed where flat. This was generally because we didn’t know any better and it was also cheaper to build a flat roof. Unfortunately a flat roof is very ineffective within our climate, and within a few years of putting up these roofs they began to collapse. Nowadays when we construct houses and other buildings for the roof we use a timber roof truss.
