Of course we have all seen on the TV suspense thrillers how the cat burglar climbs up to a window on a home but then sets off the alarm as soon as the window is opened. It all makes perfect sense. Simply install trip mechanisms on the windows and doors and the building is secure. Right? But what about the spy movies where the same cat burglar whips out a pair of wire cutters and cuts some wire and by doing so, disables the alarm system? Can it really be that alarm systems on homes and business are that simply operated and that simple to disable?
The fact is that many older alarm systems are even more simple to disable and if the burglar in the movies had merely cut the phone line or turned off the power at the breaker box it would have worked just fine. But that was then and this is now and a modern security system for your home or business not only incorporates far more sophisticated technology but it will also have its own separate security system to actually protect itself.
So not only is your home protected but the security system is protected as well. To start with, new up to date wireless technology completely does away with the wires that you saw being cut in the spy movies that you watched and because the system is wireless the signal is transmitted to the security monitoring station the same way as your cell phone calls are made, so there is no land line that can be cut.
A battery powered back-up power source on a modern up to date security system will automatically kick in if the main power is shut off and it can run the system for weeks if need be. Now with a modern up-to date home security system the cat burglar wouldn't have even made his way up to the building, because there would have been an invisible security perimeter protecting the outside of the home.
New advancements in micro-electronics has made this possible with body heat and motion detectors that have a range of up to thirty-five feet. When concealed, they are impossible to locate and they will trip the alarm if anyone approaches your home, day or night and in any type of weather. These components are so finely calibrated that they easily differentiate between small animals such as cats and dogs and a human, so there is never any worry about false alarms.
These same components are also used inside of the building or home to provide a third layer of security and they are very useful in businesses where someone can hide inside during business hours. Systems for arming and disarming a security system have also become far more sophisticated, while at the same time becoming more convenient and user friendly. A new up to date security system now uses a small push button clicker that fits on your key chain and operates just like the alarm clicker for your car or truck and its just that easy.
