Homeschool record is the only records of your child’s education. So keeping Homeschool record is so important. Although many school regions want copies of the records which have to be presented in the form of quarterly reports, other regions don't want any rules and regulations at all. To keep record of your child’s academic achievements you can find a lot of reasons. So it is too important to keep the records of your child for Homeschool.
You have to keep records of your child’s learning achievements is for that they can be able to attend college. This is one of the important reasons to keep record of your child’s homeschooling. The students who have gotten education from a public school, they must have a diploma degree that will be the evidence of their graduation from school. So with a diploma degree children will be able to prove that they have met the graduation conditions. But what will happen to the Homeschooled children?
If the parents of Homeschooled children kept the precise record of their educational information and gave them letter grades for all the courses they have completed, that will be an evidence of their educational background. If you can not keep records of your homeschooling child as your region school do, just keep records as the public school do. This is the easiest way to keep records of your homeschooling child.
You can write the records in the Microsoft Office programs like in Excel. But if you don’t know how to use those programs you can keep the records of your homeschooling child in a hand writing tools. There are many companies with the products of record keeping tools which can be written by hand. These record books are as same as the teacher’s record books, which they use to keep their students grades in the classroom. You can get these record books and organizational tools from anywhere like departmental stores or internet etc.
When you get the record keeping system which you want, you have to make a decision what kind of information you want to keep in your record book about your children homeschooling. At the initial age you have to keep records of the following below:
First you have to keep the quarterly reports. By those reports the reader can easily make a quick outline about each of the class what your child did in a given quarter. From these report reader can also get the information about the teacher who taught the class and the received letter grade of the child.
You have to keep the grade reports about homeschooling of your children in the record tools. The reduced grade report will provide a picture view of a child's development and the letter grade which they received each section during a given year. It should also include the final letter grade given at the end of each year for each subject. The teacher will sign in the report.
Many Homeschool teachers create a goal list at the beginning of each school year for each grade level. A daily or weekly planner will help keep you on plan to cover certain subjects within each quarter.
If a child wants to admit into a college the academic record what you have will be the only prove of his or her completed required basic subjects. Many colleges now accept the records of Homeschoolers. On the other hand, they guess that the records will be easy to read, careful and specialized.
