Free Harness Handicapping System from the #1 horse racing writer on the Net. No purchase necessary and no credit card info needed. Also check out the free greyhound handicapping articles and systems while you're at www.ebnetr.com
I've been using a free harness handicapping system since last summer and I'm very happy with it. It's author gave me permission to share it with my readers for a limited time and the feedback has been positive from them also.
What surprises me is that so many greyhound players also play the harness races. It took me almost forty years to really get into harness racing! Maybe that's because I never found a method that was simple enough to make a trip to the harness track a fun experience.
When I play the horses, I want to relax and take a break from the intensity of the dog track. The greyhound races are my bread and butter and I put a lot of energy into handicapping them. So, using a simpler, easier system is a pleasant change for me at the harness races.
I think this would be a good thing for any fan of the ponies to try, especially if their luck has been "off" lately. Maybe it's just the change the losing player would need to sharpen their handicapping skills. It's true that when we do things differently, it helps our brains build new pathways.
It's nice to be able to try something for free before you invest money in it. That's why I recommend free trials of handicapping aids, whenever you can get them. I've offered them before and have had many people tell me that it's renewed their interest in playing the races and made them some money too.
What have you got to lose? If it works, you know the author is good at what he does. If it doesn't, you've only wasted a little time. (Of course, you'll use the free system on paper, not with real bets.) If you want to get more in-depth, you can. If you want to just stay at the level where you're playing for fun, then you can do that.
It's all about choice and opportunities and it's not often that you get the opportunity to try something free that actually might help you make money.

When to Bet on the Favorite in a Horse Race
By: Bill Peterson | 17/12/2009The favorite in a horse race is the horse with the most money wagered on it to win, therefore, the horse with the lowest odds. Favorites win an average of about a third of the time, or perhaps slightly less. If you just want the thrill of watching a horse that you have bet on win a race, then betting the favorite in each race is probably what you should do. On the other hand, that thrill will cost you money over the long run because, though they win often, the favorite is usually a bad bet.
